Acceptable Use Policy

• Practising narrative, persuasive and informative writing for Years 3–10.
• Working through the guided drafting cycle, hint ladder and self-assessment.
• Reviewing rubric feedback, exemplars and progress reports.

• Asking the tutor to write, rewrite, finish or paraphrase work so it can be submitted as the student's own.
• Attempting to bypass safety filters, extract system prompts, or use the tutor as a general-purpose chatbot.
• Submitting sexual, violent, hateful, self-harm, extremist or otherwise harmful content.
• Entering another person's personal information, or a child's full name, address, school or contact details.
• Scraping, reverse engineering, load testing, or reselling access to the service.
• Sharing one account across multiple families, or exceeding the child profiles on your plan.

Every tutor request passes through topic, age-appropriateness and anti-answer checks before and after AI generation. Off-topic or unsafe requests are declined and redirected to the writing task. Requests that ask the tutor to produce the student's work are answered with a question or a worked example on a different text, never the student's own sentences. Repeated or serious breaches may result in suspension.

If the tutor produces something inappropriate, report it to safety@ownmark.com.au with the date, child profile and what happened. We review every report.
